DOOR-TO-DOOR

recycled rubbish collection

CARING  ABOUT OUR  COMMUNITY

Logo raccolta porta a porta

This town has started a door-to-door recycled rubbish collection.

With this leaflet we want to draw your attention to some of the simple but fundamental rules to ensure an efficient rubbish collection.

It is important to remember: to respect the time, day and the way the system is organised; to leave refuse sacks in front of, or near,  your own front door; not to leave sacks beside the brown, yellow orgreen roadside rubbish bins; to put only organic waste in the brown bins, using the bio-degradable sacks; to put only glass bottles and jars in the green bins; to also use generic throwaway boxes and bags, whether paper or cardboard, for the collection of paper in addition to the appropriate sacks.

At the end of the trial period, a series of checks will be made across the area in order to identify and to fine the non-compliant.

With the commitment and participation of everyone we can also improve the quality of the environment. We need civic-mindfulness, respect for the rules and common sense to make this a successful system.

What to put in blue multi-material sacks: Plastic: bottles, containers, rigid packaging and food dishes in general, bags - excluding plates, glasses, cutlery, toys, CD or DVD cases, household articles.

What to put in PAPER SACKS: Paper, in small amounts and sizes: clean and non-plasticised paper, cardboard, and card of any kind, cut up and well-folded, newspapers, magazines, Tetrapak and similar materials. ATTENTION: in order to recycle a greater quantity and volume of paper material, use the sacks or throwaway cardboard boxes. Remember: They must be reduced in size and well-tied together.
